  Tamar Time Traveller Itinerary

Check in at Plymouth Rail station at 11.00 for the First Great Western service to Gunnislake.  We travel along the Tamar Valley Line, through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain.

At Gunnislake we board our coach for the short journey back across the border to Devon and on to Morwellham.  Here you will go back go back in time to the 1860s and be able to experience life as it was in Queen Victoria’s day.

It’s hard to believe that what today appears to be a tranquil backwater was, some 140 years ago, the centre of the Empire’s largest copper mining industry.

We rejoin our coach to return to the station and the train for the scenic return journey to Plymouth where arrival will be at 18.05.
